Welcome to Junewell Counseling

The road to healing begins with a therapeutic relationship.

Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Immigrants and First Generation Americans

Let’s talk about it.

I know seeking a therapist can be daunting, but you've taken the biggest step, I'm so glad you are here. The mission of therapy is to promote mental health and well-being by providing you with the tools and skills to overcome psychological distress and enhance your quality of life. By seeking culturally responsive therapy, you are not just addressing your challenges; you are reclaiming your narrative and fostering a deeper connection with your own story.

Together, we navigate the intersections of culture and mental health, creating a space where you can explore, express, and evolve. You can expect a compassionate space where your experience will be witnessed, you will be seen, and cultural humility will be in the center with you. I am committed to helping you attain the vibrant life you desire, demolish barriers, manage emotions effortlessly, reduce stress, improve your daily functioning, and the quality of your life.

MY APPROACH

My approach to therapy starts with the foundation that you are human, having human reactions to human experiences. I use person-centered, solution-focused, collaborative and strength based approach that fosters a supportive and healing therapeutic relationship.

A positive therapeutic relationship is a strong predictor of positive therapeutic outcomes, making it essential for promoting the client's well-being and growth. When you feel like you can trust your therapist and they really get you, it's easier to open up and talk about what's going on. When your therapist shows empathy and really listens to you, it can feel like you're not alone in dealing with your struggles.

I guide clients towards exploring strengths and values to help frame their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that focuses on their proven resilience and empowers clients to live their most authentic and values-driven life.

Cultural responsiveness is at the center of the therapeutic relationship, as being witnessed and understood is an integral part of therapeutic healing. We will create an environment of compassion, acceptance, and intentional change through listening, increasing self-knowledge, harnessing strengths, and putting skills into practice.
